Two features set Kensington Battery Pack and Charger for iPhone and iPod apart from other external lithium batteries: it doesn’t attach directly to the gadget and it has the largest capacity.
Kensington sells two batteries – this larger one ($69.99) and a second, smaller battery that is named the Kensington Mini Battery Extender and Charger for iPod and iPhone 1G, 3G (Black) .
The Kensington Mini Battery , like the RichardSolo Smart Backup Battery and others, attaches directly to the iPhone.
The larger Kensington Battery Pack connects to the iPhone via a cable, thus eliminating one of the chief concerns with the other packs: unstable connections.
It also provides a whopping 100 additional hours of music, or 21 hours of video or 6 hours of talk. Its capacity is 1800mAh, the same as mophie’s Juice Pack and more than RichardSolo’s 1200mAh.
The battery is relatively light, weighing in at 3.5 ounces. It is 4 inches long, 2.2 inches wide and slightly more than a 1¼-inch thick.
The USB 2.0 to 30-pin charging cable allows for plenty of movement while the battery is attached.
In addition to the charging cable, the battery comes with a wall outlet power adapter and a charging cable that connects the battery to either the wall adapter or a USB port.
The battery can be charged with the iPhone attached, with the iPhone’s internal battery recharging first.

 This speaker system simply rocks!
Trust me, one thing is just looking at the specs, another is listening the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin sound quality when coupled with any iPod (we did it with a brand new iPods touch .
It’s simply amazing, not just a good shape!
It’s got two 1-inch aluminum tweeters, two 3.5-inch fiber cone mid-range drivers, and one 5-inch bass driver that will really impress any die-hard audiophile.
The Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin cool design will match your iPod’s and will get you so much envy that your friends will likely prefer silence instead of hearing it!
Zeppelin is compatible with all dockable iPods, including the iPod classic (3G, 4G, 5G, 5.5G, 6G), iPod touch, iPod nano (1G, 2G, 3G), and iPod mini.
Several devices other than an iPod can play sound through Zeppelin; both analog and optical digital connectivity are supported by a common auxiliary socket on the back. Examples include a computer–either direct or wirelessly using Apple Airport Express; television; MP3 players (through the player’s headphone connection); home theater devices; CD players–portable or static; and portable radios with headphone or digital outputs.
Video iPods, the iPod touch, iPhones, and the iPod classic can take advantage of Zeppelin’s video output capability to connect to a television’s composite video and S-Video.
Price? Beauty is priceless, the Zeppelin retails for US$ 599. A lot less than beauty itself!

Apple yesterday rolled out new iPhone and iPod touch models with beefed-up memories and bumped-up prices.
Apple has just upped the iPhone’s storage capacity to 16gb, and the iPod touch 16 GB to 32gb.
The iPhone, formerly available only in an 8 GB model for $399 now has a 16 GB cousin that retails for $499. The iPod touch also added a big brother, launching a 32 GB model for $499 to accompany the 16 GB and 8 GB models that sell for $399 and $299 respectively.
“For some users, there’s never enough memory,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPod and iPhone Product Marketing, in a statement. “Now people can enjoy even more of their music, photos and videos on the most revolutionary mobile phone and best Wi-Fi mobile device in the world.”
The new iPods touch and iPhones will ship with the new software that CEO Steve Jobs unveiled at last month’s MacWorld Expo in San Francisco, including a maps application that allows users to use a combination of cell tower and Wi-Fi hot spot triangulation to mimic a GPS device and find their location on Google-powered maps.

OpenMoko have announced the Neo 1973, a sim-free, completely open source driven mobile phone running on a flavour of the Linux operating system. Although in its opening stages of development, the phone promises to spread open source to the mobile phone industry just as Linux brought freedom to Pc users: the base version of the NEO sells for $300, has a 2.8″ VGA touch screen, a micro SD card slot, a USB port and 2.5G GSM quad band capability. It shares a complete lack of buttons with Apple’s iPhone, with a touch screen that can be operated by both fingers and stylus. An improved, mass market model has been scheduled for October, to be sold at a $450 price point, adding wi-fi, 3-D motion sensors and graphics accelerators.
It looks like revolutionary devices, not only smart phones but smarter phones, are finally making their way into the stagnant mobile phone market, offering plenty of new choices to the public.

The most anticipated launch of the year is finally upon us: since it was first announced in back in January of 2007, the iPhone has been one of the most talked about topics on the internet. Apple has once again showed how it’s done in the marketing and hype department: now it’s up to consumers and early buyers to try first hand if the iPhone will live up to the huge expectations created around it
So far the first press and web reviews have been positive, with small nags overpowered by the great advanced feature of the iPod/Phone hybrid that have wowed the public and professionals alike. The only thing stopping this device from being a market winner overnight seems to be the high price, which of course is justified by the advanced and new features like the multi touch technology display.
We won’t bore you with tech specs, you can find all the info you want and more on Apple’s website. If you are lucky enough to be near an AT&T or Apple store tonight at 6pm, you might be in for a spectacle as people queue up to get their hands on a brand new iPhone. If you are even more lucky, you may even be able to go out and buy one!
Update: partner site ipodpalace.com reports on the very first iPhone disassembly done by iFixit.com guys!
